St Andrew’s church supports South Sefton Foodbank. This foodbank opened in 2012 and helped over 10,000 people last year.
The foodbank is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation aimed to support individuals and families in crisis – emergency food is exchanged in receipt of a voucher.
The foodbank operates under the Trussell Trust operations model www.trusselltrust.org
There are many ways you can help the foodbank, through donating food, making a financial donation or through volunteering some of your time. Also if you are a local business you could partner with the foodbank too. You will find more details through the link below.

How do I donate food? And is it just food or other items
Hi Debbie, thanks for showing an interest in the food bank. If you click on the link to the food bank on our page and look at the give help section it gives you details of some of the drop off points – not quite as local now with it not being the Maghull food bank any more. As far as I know donations can also be taken to Maghull Baptist church, between 9 and 12 weekday mornings too. The site above also details the “most needed items.” Although it is mainly food items which are needed they do sometimes look for other items like sanitary products and other toiletries- it might be worth giving them a ring to check!
