Welcome to St Andrew’s Church.  We are part of the Maghull and Melling Team Ministry in the Diocese of Liverpool.

For up to date information and resources at this difficult time please go to our “A Church Near You” page which will be updated regularly. You will find our page by visiting http://www.achurchnearyou.com and searching for Maghull: St Andrew.

All services and activities are cancelled until further notice.

The 4 churches in our team will be open on Sunday for prayer time and for people to light candles if they would like to. Again further notice is on A Church Near You.

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have said the following:

“Far from having to “shut up shop”, the church of England must face the challenge by becoming a radically different kind of church rooted in prayer and serving others.”

St Andrew’s is a fine Victorian church close to the A59 and Leeds/Liverpool Canal in Maghull.

Yet the real truth is that St Andrew’s is a community of Christian people living, working and caring for Maghull  and beyond.  This ministry dates back at least 800 years. Our mission statement is shared with our church school and reads:

“Together in God’s love, we learn, inspire and grow.”

The Maghull and Melling Team Ministry includes four churches; St Andrew’s, St James’ and St Peter’s in Maghull and St Thomas’ in Melling.

St Andrew’s Maghull takes its duty and obligation to protect all extremely seriously. We have adopted the national Church of England’s robust procedures and guidelines. You can find out more about the national policies and procedures at www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding
